General Questions & Overview

What is Successteam?

Successteam is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation dedicated to educational youth development through mentorship, leadership development, and community outreach.

It serves students (primarily grades 7–12) in the Aiken, Richmond, Columbia and surrounding counties.

We serve middle school (grades 7-8) through our Junior Leadership Academy, and high school students (grades 9-12) through our Youth Council program.
The Youth Council program is open to rising 9th-12th graders residing in Aiken County, Richmond County, and throughout the CSRA (SC & GA).
You can reach us at (803) 508-4253 or email [email protected].

The SJLA is an interactive leadership-experience event for grades 7–8, focused on high school readiness, character building, leadership development and team-building. Participants also receive priority registration/admission to the Youth Council once eligible.

Yes. For SJLA, there is a program fee ($50 + transaction charges) which covers admission cost, curriculum, lunch, and a program t-shirt.

For Parents & Guardians

We emphasise education, enhancement and exposure — helping students understand their strengths, set meaningful goals, and access opportunities beyond the classroom.

Our Youth Council program provides structured mentoring in soft-skills, college and career readiness, and real-world community service.

Students must apply and be accepted, commit to attending sessions and activities, complete community-service requirements, and engage in program experiences (outreach, leadership activities).

While specific policies are not detailed publicly, staff positions (e.g., Program Coordinator) require background checks and transport capability.

We recommend contacting Successteam directly for full policies.

For Alumni, Supporters & Donors

The Alumni Association is composed of graduates from Successteam programs (such as the Youth Council). Members continue to engage as interns, ambassadors, and volunteers.

Quick facts: since its establishment in 2020, over 50 members; more than 20 colleges/universities represented in SC, GA, NC; average graduating class GPA 3.5 or higher.

Support options include:

  • Becoming a volunteer (individual or organisation).
  • Donations (monetary or in-kind) to fund scholarships, programs, or community events.
  • Partnerships/sponsorships to expand program reach.

Donations support youth development, leadership preparation, community outreach, and expand access for students who might otherwise not have such opportunities. Your investment helps build future civic and professional leaders.
