Program Highlights
Successteam 101
Scholars explore what it means to represent Successteam through Scholar DNA, leadership development, future readiness, scholar engagement, organizational structure, professional communication, and the standards associated with Successteam Youth Council membership.
Civic Engagement
Scholars experience leadership and student governance firsthand through electoral interest meetings, candidate preparation, campaigning, Meet the Candidates experiences, voting, and the selection of Youth Council student leaders.
College & Career Fair
Scholars engage directly with colleges, universities, employers, community organizations, and career professionals while completing activities designed to strengthen postsecondary and career exploration.
Professional Development
Scholars strengthen practical skills through experiences in email professionalism, digital communication, Canva and presentation development, public speaking, personal branding, media awareness, and professional representation.
Service, Volunteerism & Philanthropy
Leadership extends beyond the classroom as scholars learn about philanthropy, volunteerism, and community responsibility before putting those lessons into action through an off-campus service experience.
Recreation, Wellness & Field Day
Scholars experience the energy and community of SLA through recreational activities, physical challenges, team competitions, and Field Day. These experiences promote wellness, teamwork, healthy competition, relationship building, and opportunities for scholars to connect beyond the classroom.
Leadership, Culture & Community
Residential living, mentor engagement, team building, fellowship, self-care experiences, Field Day, and shared academy traditions allow scholars to build meaningful relationships while learning how their individual actions contribute to the culture of Successteam.
Scholar Showcase & Parent Orientation
SLA culminates with scholars applying what they have learned to presentations, demonstrations, and a scholar-led Parent Orientation & Showcase. Families gain firsthand insight into the Successteam experience while learning how they can support their scholar throughout the upcoming program year.

Member Orientation
SLA is hosted as the official summer camp for Successteam Youth Council Scholars presented as a multi-day, overnight youth development experinece held on a college campus.
Character & Culture Development
Successteam is constructed as a family-like environment providing a safe space for youth to become leaders while establishing generational relationships within an ecosystem of support. SLA holds the responsibility of being the first step toward creating a system of belonging and individualized acceptance for all members.
Exec Team Selection
Successteam Youth Council provides scholars with the opportunity to develop throughout leadership positions including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Outreach. SLA holds the responsibility of the annual election process for aspiring scholars to achieve the feat of joining the Executive Cabinet within Successteam Youth Council.
